pH natural soap

It is very important to control your soap opera by using a pH pad. In this way, you will be convinced that the recipe was successful and that there were no free lances left. The alkaline solution has a pH of 14 (alkaline), the water is neutral and has pH 7 and pH 1 has strong acids. Ph Lists are quite expensive, but you will have them for a long time and therefore worth investing. PH leaflets or strips can be purchased at a medical equipment store.
As soon as I got the sheets, I tested all my soaps. It gives me some insights into some of the facts that I later used. To measure the pH of your soap, make your hands with good soap and place a pH drop in that soap. The result will be completed in a few seconds.
The result of measuring my soaps was incredible. All had pH 10 !!

Handmade soaps are creased. There is no way to get neutral pH at natural soaps, and especially not acidic. The normal pH value of natural soaps is between 8 and 10. The basic characteristic of soap is just the alkalizability needed to make the soap clean the dirt and the grease. What's softer is softer, so it's weaker. The saponification process generates salt of fatty acids (soap) and trivalent alcohol glycerol. This combination of substances in aqueous solution must give a bulky pH, that is, greater than 7. Only by extraction of glycerine and by addition of chemicals it is possible to obtain pH-neutral soap. Removing glycerin makes industrial soap harder, while hand-made soaps are softer.

Natural hand-made soap is not pH-neutral without acid addition, such as lemon (limuntus) or pH regulator such as kitchen salt or bicarbonate. Many people use natural soaps based on fruit juices that are acidic. It is also a way of smoothing the pH. Natural soaps that work with milk also have a mild pH value. I especially know that goat's milk contains caprylic acid that lowers the pH almost to neutral. I did not try, but definitely need to see.

For natural soaps it is normal to have a pH of 10. It is important that this pH does not exceed that value. Depending on the purpose of the soap, it will sometimes need to soften the pH. This can be achieved by adding fat to the trace during making. How and how much see in the Calculating Ingredients article. In this regard, it is desirable to add fruit juices or milk instead of distilled water. Long-standing in the ventilation site The pH of the naturally-obtained soap can be lowered to 8, but 9 is quite fine. However, whichever taken, SOAP will always be alkaline because otherwise not soap!
