How to Repair Soap

Sometimes we are not happy with how the soap has dropped or we do not like the color or the scent is too weak.

Of course soap for this we will not throw it but we will fix it. And maybe we just want to just beautify it. This method is called Rebatching.






Procedure
The soap that we think we make redraw.

We drink water, tea, milk, coconut milk .....
If the soap is just made (a couple of days) we add 5-10% of the amount of soap liquid. If older (10 or more days) we add 15-20% of the amount of soap liquid depending on age. We stir well with the cooker, let it stand a little and put in a rheum 80-90ºC. We mix occasionally.

When the soap dissolves add the scent, color, plants or whatever we want. Is poured into the mold after 24 hours and cut.
Soap can also be melted in the microwave, but I do not like this way because it is very hot, or by cooking on a pair.
If you are working with a soap that is older or has already matured, it is ready for use immediately after it is dried (about 2 weeks). Because in him adding the liquid to more easily melted, we must wait until the liquid evaporates from the soap - the soap dries. Therefore, this method is desirable when we want to make a soap with essential oils of citrus fruits because it quickly blends. With this method the caustic soda has already reacted with the oils so we also use it when we add plants that in contact with soda react very strongly or change the color.
